The Great Tuesday Taco Rush
Jun 24, 2025A Back-to-School Dinner Tale from the Spicy Side of Life
It was 5:42 PM on a Tuesday—the second week of school—and chaos had officially returned to the Patton household.
Homework papers were scattered across the table, the youngest was still wearing one soccer cleat, and someone had definitely left a lunchbox full of mystery in the car all day. Somewhere between the math worksheet meltdown and the “Mom, I told you I need poster board by tomorrow,” dinner was supposed to happen.
Enter: Taco Tuesday, powered by Old Mansion’s Chili Powder, Ground Cumin, and a last-minute can of black beans.
With one pan, some leftover chicken, and a generous shake of seasoning, dinner came together in 15 minutes. The kids called it “better than Chipotle,” and Mom? She got three bites in before anyone asked for help printing something.
Not bad for a Tuesday.
Moral of the story? Keep Old Mansion spices in your pantry and you’ll always have a backup plan—even when life (and the school calendar) throws you a curveball.
